Frequently Asked Questions
Nothing if you're a physician. You'll have full access to the site once our staff has vetted your credentials.
Sorry... It's just for physicians... and right now, it's just for plastic surgeons.
We hope it will be! Right now, it's just for plastic surgeons.
Absolutely. Our staff will still vet your credentials and then give you access. We want to build an international community!
We're working on ways to get you access to certain areas of the network... and creating areas just for you... It'll happen soon!
The cost of vetting members to protect the integrity of the site will be high, producing high quality video content will be expensive, as will the ongoing cost of continuous development to ensure you have the best features to manage your content and interactions.
We'll experiment with minimal advertising on highly trafficked pages to help us with our operating costs, while ensuring the actual content of those pages is being consumed by the physician community only. We won't be bound by the rules and regulations that are packaged with government grants.
Anything and everything:

Great. We've been getting lots of requests from plastic surgery residents and plastic surgeons to submit content. When the site is live, you'd just upload it via sufo's interface. Until then, you'll need to email one of our webmasters for further instructions:
We don't have an editorial board!
Once sufo is live, your submission will be published the second you upload it. Until then, your submission will have to be uploaded through one of our webmasters:
When your credentials get vetted by our staff, they'll identify you as a plastic surgeon or a plastic surgery resident. You'll then have immediate access to the "Plastic Surgery Network." If you're not a plastic surgeon, you can't get in.
There will be several groups within the overall Plastic Surgery Network. These groups may be organized by geography (e.g. by city or country), training level (resident or attending), professional associations or academic affiliations (residency programs). Members will also have the ability to create ad hoc groups limited to friends and colleagues.
If you submit content, you can publish it so it's available to the entire Plastic Surgery Network or you can limit its access to specific groups (if you're a member of that group, of course).
We're cognizant of your busy schedule, and the most important thing about any informational resource is the ability to quickly access relevant information. Hopefully we'll meet your expectations. We recommend applying for membership and checking it out when it's live.
